PLR ( Private Label Rights) is defined by wikipedia as …
” PLR is a concept used in Internet Marketing and derived from private labelling. It’s a licence where the author sells most or all of the intellectual property rights to their work. The licence is defined by the author of the work and has no legal definition.”
Well said wiki!
Plr can cover almost any niche, and comes in many different formats
While people use plr for their blogs it can also be repackaged and sold or used for personal reasons such as tuition.
What ever you need it for its inexpensive and a great way for gaining extra content.
With that said, there are some downsides to buying plr.As the content is readiluy available it can mean that it has been used various times before, especialyy in competitive markets such as internet marketing and self help.
also some plr content i have purchased before has had no real flow when reading also coming across spelling and punctuation mistakes ( although i shouldnt complain, my spelling and punctuation is that of a 7 year old). So before you release these as your own you need to go through them with a fine tooth comb!!
so here is a quick list of pros and cons of plr…
- in vast supply
- you can make plr your own for making money or as a bonus, or simply to add content
- its very quick
- its easy
- Some content can be ill written. bad spelling, grammar. no real flow of information
- duplicate content
- possibility of some buying the same product of different people.
In short plr is an excellent way of gaining quick access to products or content for cheap.
the downside is duplicate content, poorly written etc, these can be overcome by repackaging, combing through to find weaknesses in spelling etc. also add as much as you can to the content. this will give real value for money when it comes to selling, giving as a bonus.
I have used plr in various niches and will do for as long as its available.
Just remember to make it your own…
