Getting an Online Coach!
Following on from my first post, I would like to talk about the coaching programme i have enrolled with.
Trying to find your way in the IM ( Internet Marketer ) world can leave you feeling a bit lost……very lost in fact, as it was certainly the case for me.
What path do you start off on?
there are so many ways to make money on the net!
Each avenue I explored I noticed that everyone was talking of coaching and thought that this would definitely be a viable option to take my business of the ground.
As an IM’er you are always open to new ( or old ) ways of making money.
Coaching for a successful IM’er means they pass on their knowledge to hungry students that are hoping to be the next big name ( or just big bank accounts)
After my initial arrogance of
” I’m not bloody paying ….i’ll teach myself”
had passed I started to apply to various programs.
After applying for , and talking at length with various coaches it became clear that most had very little to offer in return for taking your money.
They all seemed to talk a good game!!
and a lot of the coaches stopped contact as soon as they found out I had no experience. And one wanted £2000 as part payment. Stating that if I couldn’t get the money together for the rest of the programme I would have to forfit my initial deposit.
Then when very nearly giving up and deciding to pack it all in I talked with my new coach.
A fantastic guy who understood where I was and where I wanted to get to.
I had heard of him and the success he has had on-line and noticing a post on Facebook about the programme I though I have to give it a go!
I found him to be very approachable, extremely knowledgeable! An all round nice guy really! But most importantly, A guy I could see myself working along side for my coaching.
Rob’s tuition is second to none.
I have literally jumped miles ahead of where I was a year ago.
Regular training video’s and webinar’s
Mean that I have full, ongoing support by the man himself.
The support and the information we get is fantastic. Training is added weekly with q and a sessions.
Also everything that gets loaded into the members area you can download. That makes it great to play on the go.
( It’s currently 3:25 am and I’m in work!! and I’m able to listen to some webinars on my iPod ).
While also being very active on Facebook so any problems I know he’s there for the team.
Rob’s putting out excellent information all the time. From building membership sites to product launches, I’m glad I got in when I did.
I’ve been quietly working away at this and it’s my first step on my IM road,
I highly recommend coaching to get you started.
Being shown what to do rather than working it out for yourself. And going through a lot of trial and error saves
you so much time …and tantrums!!
If you do decide to get coaching may I recommend the following guidelines…
Find the right coach,
Is there a certain area of I’m you would like to get in to. Finding the right coach for you niche is essential. They will have experience and knowledge and get you out of the blocks a lot quicker
. Do your research,
How well known is this person. Check they’re sites, they’re social media platforms. Do They have a good, strong following. And do they offer sound advice.
. What do you get for your money and is it good value?
There are a lot of coaches out there. Some charging 5 figures for what they show you.
how long is the coaching, how is it delivered, how long does the support last, is there a support group such as facebook. These are the types of questions you should be asking yourself and the coach.
Find out and make sure it’s written down what you get. It’s no good signing up for a programme that teaches you specifically Google ads when you want a programme on setting up product launches!
. What’s the support like?
Do they have support groups. Maybe Skype or Facebook. You may have a query others in the group will maybe know the answer to rather than waiting for an answer of the coach. Also people in the group will be at different levels so may have faced the same problem.
A good support group will have constant activity.
. Can you afford it?
We all benefit from coaching at some point. But on top of the coaching fee there are additional costs.
Packages or software
Shiny bits of crap to try and distract you
Don’t put yourself in a hole just to cover it.
It is expensive but if it done right then you are on your way to success.
I’m currently 1 month in to the programme.
The result so far is a what you see as well as a lot of background work.
With a fair bit of messing about and worrying on my part.
It’s finally started !
If you have any feedback about your coaching / Mentoring then please leave a comment.
